This is probably an inappropriate post for Earth Day, but in Campanastan we don't always march to the rest of the world's
drummer.
Thought I would post a picture of the recent CRG kart my niece
Becky's husband Hugh Templeman recently acquired. I call it the 'Hughmobile'.
Not the 'go-kart' the President-For-Life remembers from his childhood!
Hugh says it will do 100 mph (160 kph). I don't doubt it. I suspect it's faster than my MR2. Well, maybe not.
Hugh is serious about kart racing. When he and Becky were married in Las Vegas in 2005, the bachelor party was held at a local high-end kart track. Not for the faint-of-heart.
But the Hughmobile sure looks like a lot of fun!
Think I'll revel in the second straight gorgeous day in Corvallis and go cycling (which Hugh and Becky are probably doing today in Colorado).
Oh, I checked online - some racing kart shops are offering Earth Day specials!
Call now - ¡Llame ya!
"Get your husband a motorcycle for his last birthday!" - Unknown
My wife gave me a karting experience gift on our 5th year wedding anniversary. I enjoyed it and I will definitely do it again with her.
