Time to give some props to my adopted home state.
Todd Jarvis turned me on to the Graywater Advisory Committee's final recommendations to the Oregon Environmental Quality Commission:

And another colleague alerted me to the Oregon Water Policy Survey, conducted last spring by my OSU colleague Brent S. Steel and doctoral students Monica Hubbard and Erika Allen Wolters:

The survey assessed citizens' attitudes toward water issues; almost 800 participated. The project will assist the Oregon Water Resources Department in developing its Integrated Water Resources Strategy.
Enjoy!

Oregon Twofer: 1) Graywater Advisory Committee Recommendations; 2) Oregon Water Policy Survey ... First, I salute the time and energy which the participants gave in producing this document. Secondly, I note not surprisingly, many of the same factors and conditions are reported in this study as has been noted in information developed in Arizona, for example.
A common issue in both cases, I note, is there is NO commitment for providing this information clear, concise and understandable to John Q Public ... whom we hold ultimately responsible and accountable for the hourly and daily operation of these greywater systems.
Unless it is our goal to attain honest "buy-in" on all facets of greywater these efforts are doomed from the onset.
Respectfully submitted,
