Road Trip! North Platte River Snowmelt Runoff Tour - 12-14 June 2011

SignRoad trip!

Nathan Eidem took a little tour of the North Platte River last spring and produced this little video for a lecture on floods.

If you go to the YouTube site you'll find some more North Platte videos.

 

I took a little tour of the same region in April 2010 and, while impressed, did not see the flows that Eidem displays here. I was probably too early.

It's now snowmelt - in the river, atmosphere, and the subsurface. Some of it is still in the high elevations.
