I am here at the Jacksonville AWRA Conference enjoying the first day.
We are already planning for the 2013 AWRA Conference in Portland, OR, that Brenda Bateman of OWRD and I will be co-chairing - here is a call for special session proposals:

If you would like to propose and take responsibility for arranging a special session on a water-related topic (and it does not have to be specific to the Pacific Northwest) please consider submitting a proposal. You do not need to an AWRA member.
I would love to see a session on a Columbia River/Basin compact - not a treaty (which we have) but a compact among the states. I am trying to get someone to develop a session. We may not need a compact one now, but that is why we need to develop one now.
