Heading home today.
I got a couple of gifts from some village women yesterday to thank me for providing funds to build a kindergarten for their village, Monte Vista.
This is an embroidered wall hanging - ´Women Embroiderers from the Sierra de Omoa´:
And a very important gift - coffee!
Finally, it looks like we will undertake a second water project - in Tamarindo Here is the view to the north from the village, with the Caribbean Sea in the background. The people here are very committed to clean water and incredibly hardworking. We will try to get some buy-in from the Municipio de Choloma.
As a token of my gratitude for all they have done I took Rolando López, his wife Suyapa, and two of their three childeren - Julissa and Guillermo and their spouses - to dinner last night at the Hondureño-Arabe Club.
Nice time! I will miss this place and its people.
