Interesting concept - Ethos does the same thing. Get us to forsake tap water and buy bottled water, so that some of the "proceeds" go to those in developing countries for safe tap water.
Here's a better idea: the next time you want to buy bottled water, put that money in a can. Every so often, take the money from the can and donate it to an organization like www.elporvenir.org, lifewater.org, water.cc,or some of the organizations at:

What a great organization and a great cause! For those interested, a related cause is the partnership between Volvic bottled water and UNICEF. Volvic donates proceeds from their sales to UNICEF to build wells in Ethiopia, thus providing clean, drinkable water. Check it out at www.drink1give10.com
